WYTHEVILLE, Va. – The three new Wythe County Board of Supervisor members were recently sworn into office.
Stacy Terry is the new Wythe County Supervisor At-Large board member. Terry said he is excited about the future of Wythe County.
“I’m extremely honored to be sworn in,” Terry said. “I’m excited to be sworn in and to be working for the citizens of Wythe County. I’m excited about what the future holds for our citizens.”
Another new face to the Wythe County Board is Rolland Cook, who will be serving District 2 which is the West Wytheville District.
“It’s an honor to serve the people of Wythe County,” Cook said. “I hope over the next four years we can help the county run efficiently and help the taxpayers. I’m looking forward to getting started.”
James D. “Jamie” Smith will be serving District 4 which is the Fort Chiswell District.
“What an honor it was to be sworn in as the Wythe County Board of Supervisor Fort Chiswell District Representative on Friday, December 27th,” Smith said. “What a since of pride I had taking the oath in front of my family and friends. It's an honor to be a part of the Wythe County Board, and I look forward to the future of Wythe County.”
These three new board members will join four other board members to serve Wythe County. The new members will join Black Lick District Supervisor Brian Vaught, East Wytheville District Supervisor Ryan Lawson, Lead Mines District Supervisor Coy McRoberts, and Speedwell District Supervisor B.G. “Gene” Horney.
The first Board of Supervisors meeting of 2020 will be held on January 7, 2020.
