Wythe County Treasurer’s Office

The Wythe County Treasurer is seeking qualified applicants for the full time position of Deputy Treasurer I / Receptionist.  Applicant should have knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and equipment, accounting and money handling procedures.  Must have excellent computer skills and possess the ability to work well with the public.  Duties include but are not limited to accepting and processing various state and local payments; assisting the public; assisting attorneys, closing agencies and mortgage companies conducting tax searches; issuing animal licenses; maintaining various office records.  College degree or equivalent work related experience preferred. Salary: $22,250.  Employment benefits include health insurance, retirement, annual and sick leave, and paid holidays.  Related employment tests may be administered during employment interview.  Upon acceptance of position, individual must submit to and pass a criminal background investigation and an acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles driving record.
