Wythe County Voter Registration and Elections Office seeks an individual to perform responsible administrative work including ensuring voters are registered, as well as maintaining records, statistics and confidential data in accordance with applicable laws.
Responsibilities: Perform daily office tasks based on scheduling and assignments provided by the General Registrar. Process voter registrations, transfers, cancellations, and absentee ballot requests using the Virginia Election and Registration Information System (VERIS). Prepare equipment and materials for Election Day and Officers of Election.
Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma; some experience working with the public, preferably in an office setting. Qualified Voter in Virginia. Thorough knowledge of standard office procedures, with skills pertaining to the use of computer software. Must be able to work irregular hours during peak elections times. Must have driver’s license for travel to voting sites, training, etc.
