The Work consists of construction of a pump station, 3700LF of gravel access road, 6200 LF of 12” force main and related appurtenances discharging to an existing Wythe County Gravity interceptor. Work will be divided into two contracts, the first covering the pump station and access road and the second covering the forcemain. Owner will provide pumps for Division I and pipe & fittings for Division II.

Division 1 will be received until 2:00 PM local prevailing time March 17, 2022, and then publicly opened and read aloud at the Wythe County Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, same address.

Division 2 will be received until 2:30 PM local prevailing time March 17, 2022, and then publicly opened and read aloud at the Wythe County Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, same address.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Peed & Bortz, LLC (540-394-3214) upon payment of $200 for each printed set.  One-half of the deposit will be refunded to each document holder of record who returns a complete set of Bidding Documents in good condition within 10 days after opening of Bids.  Bidders may also download the contract documents from the Peed & Bortz website: http://peed-bortz.com/request-for-bids/

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for both divisions shall be held at 10:00 AM local prevailing time March 8, 2022, at the Wythe County Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, 340 South 6th Street, Wytheville, VA.

Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be in accordance with Virginia Code Section 2.2-4330.A(i).

Should the apparent low Bid exceed available funds, the Owner reserves the right to negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds.

Bidders shall comply with Virginia Code Section 54.1-1112 regarding information required with Bid.  Envelopes containing Bids shall be clearly marked with the Bidder’s contractor license number.
