Wythe County, Virginia, is seeking bids for the construction of a 32,000 square foot utility barn. The work is classified as Use Group Utility & Miscellaneous (Barn) and includes, but is not limited to: site work, pre-engineered metal building structure, and concrete foundations.

Depending upon the final award scenario, the construction run time for this project to substantial completion will be 150 days.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of $30 (non-refundable) for each set. The Owner will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Wythe County Administration Office, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia at 10 am on Friday, August 9, 2019. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the County Administrator, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 until 2 pm local time MONDAY, AUGUST 26, 2019, where they will be opened and publically read aloud. Envelopes will be clearly marked with the designation of “APPALACHIAN REGIONAL EXPOSITION CENTER UTILITY BARN” and contain the submitting contractor’s name, address, and contractors’ license number. Responsive bids will include: bid form; bid bond; acknowledgment of any addenda; and copy of contractor’s license. Bidders shall comply with Virginia Code Section 54.1-1112 regarding information required with Bid.

Withdrawal of bids due to error shall be in accordance with Virginia Code Section 2.2-4330.B
