WYTHE COUNTY, Va.- The Wythe County Registrar’s Office has officially relocated to a new address at 440 West Franklin Street, Wytheville, VA 24382. This move is designed to provide more accessible and improved services to Wythe County voters.
Conveniently located just across the street from the Wythe County Administrative offices, the new location offers enhanced space and upgraded facilities to better serve the community. The Registrar’s Office has also integrated updated technology and expanded parking options to ensure a seamless experience for all visitors. The office remains committed to delivering efficient and reliable election services to the voters of Wythe County.
“We are excited about the new accessibility features and extra space,” said Lennon Counts, Wythe County Registrar. “The new location has plenty of extra room to better accommodate early voters visiting our office.”
The office will continue to operate under its regular hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents can visit the office for voter registration, absentee voting, and other election-related services.
Early voting for the 2024 General Election begins Friday, Sept. 20, 2024. Registered voters in Wythe County are encouraged to stop by the Registrar’s Office during normal business hours to cast their ballots. To accommodate early voters, the office will also be open on two Saturdays: Oct. 26, 2024, and Nov. 2, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The public is invited to a ribbon cutting scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.

WYTHE COUNTY, Va.- Wythe County has strengthened its commitment to public safety with the purchase of four fire trucks for the county fleet.
Members of the Wythe County Board of Supervisors, Department of Emergency Services, and County administration gathered Tuesday evening to unveil three of the four new fire trucks ahead of the regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors meeting. These vehicles will significantly enhance the county's ability to respond to emergencies and serve the community effectively.

WYTHE COUNTY, Va. - Youth athletes from Wythe County and the Town of Wytheville will have the opportunity to play under the bright lights at local high school stadiums during the upcoming "Youth Hometown Lights" games this fall.
Taking advantage of the high school football schedules, these future Friday night stars will step into the spotlight. The Wythe County Parks and Recreation Department and the Town of Wytheville Parks and Recreation Department will host a series of special youth games on three Friday evenings this season.

WYTHE COUNTY, Va.- A multi-year project at Wythe County’s Ager Park has kids in a playful mood. The community gathered with County leaders Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the completion of Phase 2 of playground upgrades.
The first phase of construction of the nature-themed Bliss Products build was completed in August 2023 with the play equipment primarily intended for kids eight to 12 years old. Now, nearly one year later, the second phase is complete, this time with equipment intended for children ages two through eight.
