The County of Wythe seeks bids from authorized and qualified service vendors to provide testing and service to the counties fire and rescue equipment. 

Proposals must be received no later than 2 p.m. on Friday February 21, 2020 at the County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 to the Attention of Martha Collins. The envelope must be clearly marked “F&R Test”. Proposals received after that time, postmarks notwithstanding, shall be rejected. As soon as feasible, negotiations will begin with the vendor deemed to be fully qualified and best suited among those submitting proposals. 

Vendors will be providing proposals for testing to all the nine (9) county fire and rescue departments for Pumps, Ladders, Hoses, Rescue Equipment, as well as service when needed. Bids will be accepted and awarded in the following categories: 

  • Pump Testing and Service
  • Hose Testing and Service
  • Ladder Inspections
  • Rescue Equipment Testing and Service

The Wythe County Board of Supervisors is requesting proposals for a telephone system and service provider for the Wythe County Courthouse buildings and operations. An information packet is available at this LINK.

Wythe County, Virginia, is seeking bids for repairs to its Envirodyne Systems Belt Filter Press.  The work to be performed generally consists of disassembly, removal, inspection, repair, reassembly, installation and alignment of pillow block bearings and the filter press rollers.

Sealed Bids will be received at the Wythe County Administration Offices, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 until 2:00 P.M. local prevailing time on February 19, 2020. Bidders shall comply with Virginia Code Section 54.1-1112 regarding information required with Bid.  Envelopes containing Bids shall be clearly marked with the Bidder’s contractor license number.

The Wythe County Board of Supervisors is seeking proposals for an Architectural and Professional Engineering Services term contract. Awards may be made to more than one Offeror. Contract term will be for one year and may be renewable for two additional one-year terms.  Project types under the contract include: preliminary engineering design and estimates (water, wastewater, maintenance and repair, minor construction), environmental assessments, studies, and other engineering-architectural type requirements which may arise from time-to-time.  Fair and reasonable prices as negotiated shall be used in determining the cost of each project performed.

Interested firms or individuals are requested to submit five copies of qualifications and references on Standard Form (SF) 330. Proposals will be received at the office of Stephen D. Bear, Wythe County Administrator, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382 until 10:00 a.m. local prevailing time Thursday, January 23, 2020.
