A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 6:05 p.m., or as soon as practicable thereafter, in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 to hear public comment on the proposed budget amendment.

The Wythe County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10:05 a.m. to hear public comment for potential conveyance of lots in Progress Park or on Chapman Road from any of the following tax parcels: 27-61, 27-59, 42-41, 27-59A and 51-141C. This includes property and easements to be potentially conveyed to the Virginia Department of Transportation and Norfolk-Southern.

The hearing will take place in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia.

You are invited to bid on a general contract for Wythe County, Virginia consisting of a renovation to the Wythe County Courthouse located at 345 South Fourth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382. All bids shall be on a lump sum basis.

CY23 Tax Levy

The Virginia Department of Transportation and the Board of Supervisors of Wythe County, in accordance with Section 33.2-331 of the Code of Virginia, will conduct a joint public hearing in the Board Room of the Wythe County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 at 6:05 p.m. on May 9, 2023The purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed Secondary Six-Year Plan for Fiscal Years 2023/24 through 2028/29 in Wythe County and on the Secondary System Construction Budget for Fiscal Year 2023/24.  Copies of the proposed Plan and Budget may be reviewed at the Wytheville Residency Office of the Virginia Department of Transportation, located at 2843 Chapman Road, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 or at the Wythe County offices located at 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382. 

All projects in the Secondary Six-Year Plan that are eligible for federal funds will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), which documents how Virginia will obligate federal transportation funds.
