The County of Wythe, Va., requests proposals from interested and qualified firms for design, manufacture and installation of stadium seating for a 90,000-square foot indoor sports arena. The primary use is a hockey arena, but seating must provide flexibility to use the venue for concerts, expos and other sports. The venue has a concourse level and a lower level four feet below the concourse. An embedded ice rink is centered on the lower level.

The Wythe County Board of Supervisors is seeking bids for the replacement of a Trane 60-ton IntelliPak Cooling/Hot Water RTU Unit and a Trane 12.5-ton SSU.  Replacement units must be Trane equipment.

Bids must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023, at the County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA  24382 to the Attention of Landon Sayers.  The envelope must be clearly marked “TRANE REPLACEMENT UNITS”.  Bids received after that time, postmarks notwithstanding, shall be rejected.  As soon as practicable, negotiations will begin with the vendor deemed to be fully qualified and best suited among those submitting bids. 

The County of Wythe reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wythe County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, beginning at 6:00 pm, or as soon as practical thereafter, in the Board Room of the Wythe County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 for the purpose of giving citizens and persons an opportunity to appear and present their views on the following items: 

A.  Proposed Siting Agreement between JCR Solar, LLC and Wythe County, Virginia, pursuant to Virginia Code § 15.2-2316.8 in connection with a solar facility proposed by JCR Solar, LLC to be constructed on the following County parcels: 75-5-45C, 75-87, and 75-94 off Pauley Flatwoods Road in the Lead Mines Magisterial District. 

B.  Proposed Siting Agreement between HSR Solar, LLC and Wythe County, Virginia, pursuant to Virginia Code § 15.2-2316.8 in connection with a solar facility proposed by HSR Solar, LLC to be constructed on the following County parcels: 27-4-5A, 27-4-4B, 27-4-3, 27-4-4, portion of 28-1C, and portion of 28-1 off Turley Farms Road in the Fort Chiswell Magisterial District.

This portal will assist in the delivery of information for any unexpected or unforeseen issues that occur during broadband installation. Utilizing this portal will offer Wythe County citizens direct access to the local government liaison who can then make certain the information is passed to the proper individuals.
