Wythe County Board of Supervisors is accepting bids for grass mowing on sixteen (38) different sites. A full copy of the bid specifications including bid sheet and maps may be obtained at this LINK.
All bid proposals should include the mowing bid sheet (filled out with prices), contractor’s license, and insurance certificate. These documents should be in a sealed envelope marked B&G Grass Mowing and sent to the attention of Martha Collins, 340 South 6th Street, Wytheville, VA 24382. Bids should be submitted by 10:00 a.m. on June 17, 2022. All or some bids may be accepted or rejected at the discretion of the Board of Supervisors.
The Wythe County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. to hear public comment on the the proposed County Budget (which includes the School Board Budget) for Fiscal Year 2022-23 and on the proposed Tax Levy for Calendar Year 2022. The public hearing will be held in the Board Room of the Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia. The Wythe County Board of Supervisors is seeking BIDS for construction services for a Renovation project at 440 West Franklin Street, Wytheville, VA 24382. The initial project is installation of a truss system roof over the existing flat roof.

Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. on July 1, 2022 at 340 South 6th Street, Wytheville, VA 24382 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read.
Bids shall be marked “Renovation – Phase 1, Roof System” and marked to the attention of Johnny Kincer.
Wythe County encourages MBE/WBE type firms to submit proposals.
The County of Wythe reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
In compliance with §58.1-3321 of the Code of Virginia, Wythe County proposes to increase property tax levies.
Individual property taxes may, however, increase at a percentage greater than or less than the above percentage.
A public hearing on the increase will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382.
Wythe County wants to keep your livestock safe! The Wythe County 911 Communications Center receives calls daily regarding livestock in the roadway. In those cases, it is very helpful for them to have an updated database of owner information for the livestock animals who find their way onto our roadways. The Wythe County 911 Communications Center is requesting current livestock owner information within the Wythe County limits.
